Neal Knox -- The Gun Rights War

GRPC Weekend

E-mail Print PDF
Back from the Gun Rights Policy Conference in St. Louis.  If you haven't attended one, I recommend it.  It's an energizer.  I blogged a bit about it over in The Firearms Coalition.  As I mentioned in the blog, the GRPC was a coming-out party for the book.  Joe Tartaro asked me to bring a good number of books and I saw them moving briskly.  Sales are picking up through every channel.  I'm making weekly shipments to Amazon, and sales on this site are picking up.  Now I'm both looking forward to and dreading the reviews.

GunRights.us Interview

E-mail Print PDF

I had an interview with Mark Vanderberg on the Gun Rights Advocates Podcast.  Jeff is the radio guy in the family -- I stumble around too much.  But if you listen to Mark's podcast, you know that he's pretty laid back.  He's done a great job of building the Gun Rights Network into a force.  These guys are onto something.  Jeff and I have often talked about doing a podcast.  Need to get after it.

Just what we need -- one more thing to do!

Returned the Proofs

E-mail Print PDF

I got the proofs from the printer last Thursday. I was out of town and spent the weekend with the copy. While I've looked at it long enough to be tired of looking at it, I've intentionally stayed out of it for the past month. The break was helpful. I caught a dozen or so very minor typos. Hopefully I won't discover any huge issues when I pick up the first book from a pallet.

Dad used to worry that he would have a difficult time with a book, which may be why he never got around to getting a book put together. It's permanent where he was accustomed to working in the much more transient media of newspapers and magazines. He also commented that record producers and recording artists must have the same issue. It would be difficult to listen to your own record because you'd hear every flaw and mistake. Friend Alan Korwin who has provided invaluable guidance, and more than a little nagging throughout this project, assures me that I would find errors. His advice?  "Deal with it!" Alan is such a sensitive and understanding guy.

We're still on track for a July 4 release, although it's going to be close. I'll be working on getting sales set up from this site with links from our other sites. Off to work on that.
